Report on the results of a survey of 30 citizens: “Friendly Border Monitoring”, July 2023

The purpose of the survey: to obtain feedback from Ukrainian citizens on the quality of services received when crossing the state border between Ukraine and the countries of the European Union and the Republic of Moldova at the entrance to Ukraine.

The tool is a questionnaire in Google form.

Passengers who had crossed the border to enter Ukraine on foot or by car within 30 days prior to the survey and were citizens of Ukraine were invited to participate in the survey.

More than 40 potential respondents were invited, and 30 responses were received.

Most of the refusals were due to people’s reluctance to share their impressions of crossing the border.

The survey was conducted from July 10 to 19, 2023.

The vast majority of respondents (17 out of 30) crossed the border at the Mohyliv-Podilskyi checkpoint (Ukraine-Moldova border), 7 passengers traveled through the Rava-Ruska checkpoint, 2 citizens traveled through the Uhryniv checkpoint, and one respondent each traveled through the Shehyni, Krakovets, Ustyluh, and Tysa checkpoints.

Half of the surveyed citizens crossed the border of Ukraine by car (15 respondents) and 12 out of 30 respondents crossed on foot, two respondents by bus and 1 citizen by train.
