During April – September 2023, 4 waves of survey of citizens who crossed the border to enter Ukraine were conducted.

A total of 122 respondents in different regions of Ukraine were interviewed, of which 30 respondents each crossed the border in April, May and July and 32 respondents in September.

The purpose of the survey was to obtain feedback from Ukrainian citizens on the quality of services received when crossing the state border between Ukraine and the countries of the European Union and the Republic of Moldova when entering Ukraine.

The instrument was a questionnaire in Google form.

Target audience (TA)

The survey studied the opinions of Ukrainian citizens who crossed the border into Ukraine on foot or by car within 30 days prior to the survey.

Realized sample

More than 40 potential respondents were invited to participate in the survey in each wave, who met all the criteria of CA, but not 30 completed questionnaires were received in April, May and July and 32 questionnaires in September. The majority of refusals were due to citizens’ reluctance to share their own border crossing experiences.

Passengers who took part in the survey crossed the following checkpoints: Krakivets, Ustilug, Chop, Shegini, Yahodin, Rava-Russkaya, Luzhanka, Ublya, Uzhgorod, Hrushev, Ugrinov, Mogilev-Podilskyi and others. Most respondents in April and July crossed the border through Mohyliv-Podilskyi IACP, and in May and September – through Rava-Russkaya IACP
