7th of April, 2023  Association of Customs Brokers of Ukraine organized an online-meeting as per request of EUBAM (Republic of Moldova) involving the State customs service of Ukraine.

Illia Zibnytskyi – CEO, of the Association of customs brokers of Ukraine NGO (Ukraine) Mariana Balan – Customs expert, EUBAM (Republic of Moldova)
Tatiana Avram – assistant of the EUBAM office in Moldova

The meeting aimed at discussing advantages of using NCTS, which are as follows:
✅ speeding up transit operations;
✅ decreasing the time of customs formalization
✅ efficient information exchange and customs control between involved countries
✅ preventing violations

Key figures:
– 3000 – the number of declarations issued through NCTS today in Ukraine
– 25 – the number of authorizations for transit simplifications

EUBAM proposed to improve collaboration between the Association of Customs Brokers of Ukraine and the Association of Customs Brokers of Romania (contact points, sharing of experience, best practices) as well as arrange a meeting together with representative of Association of Customs Brokers of Romania and Ukraine.

A lot of benefits of NCTS were noted.
The Mission will conduct a research aimed at examining opportunities for increasing its attractiveness for cargo carriers, customs brokerage agencies and entrepreneurs in Moldova as well.
