Members of the Association took part in the II stage of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Technical Mission
1.05 Head of the Research Department of the World Customs Organization held the II stage of the WCO Technical Mission together with the members of the Association of Customs Brokers of Ukraine to discuss, in particular:
Systemic issues: Customs value; HS code change; infrastructure;
⚡️ Innovations: NCTS (24/7 helpdesk), AEO, authorizations for the application of simplifications,
✅ Proposals: scanners at the MAPP; increase the salary and introduce personal responsibility of customs inspectors; register of customs clearance agents and declarants.
✅ Quality of customs work – assessment by business – 3.4
✅ Vision for further development of international trade, taking into account the blockade of sea trade routes and major seaports by the Russian aggressor;
✅ Business expectations from customs. How customs can be useful for business/ how customs can help;
✅ Negative manifestations at customs (corruption, etc.) – assessment by business.
